Look at the Progress Being Made!

The glass paneling was installed this past week on the Northern Lights Atrium at the North Dakota Heritage Center in Bismarck. This main entrance from the east will provide a new opportunity to bring visitors to the state capitol complex from the busy adjacent highway, a beacon that will attract the attention of visitors like a magnet, day and night.

The North Dakota Heritage Center expansion construction is now about 90 percent complete.
The Grand Opening of the first of the new galleries in the expanded North Dakota Heritage Center is set for Sunday, October 13, 2013. The Adaptation Gallery: Geologic Time will present 500 million years of the geologic history and history of life in North Dakota from the earliest forms, including the dinosaurs, up to the last of the glaciers about 10,000 years ago.
